The planets alined today in several major ways: It's Friday. It's a beautiful day. I'm having Yakiniku for dinner. It's the start of a three day weekend. It's paid day! What could possibly put a damper on this day? Well, I guess it is fall - as evidenced by the long shadows - followed by winter, but really it's all downhill from here.

Hello son:
Couldn't sleep, so I thought I would check in on email and your blog. Great photos recently. I am still here in Ireland with Alastair, Bob and Scott Ballentine. We have had a pretty amazing time, only 2 more days before we head home, about the time you get home from Sapporo.
We have had a great week, and played at some of the most spectacularly scenic courses in the world. I hope the pictures turn out, although it is hard to depict a 40 mile an hour wind in a photo. I bought an authentic bodhran in a music shop, but I'm not completely sure how I will get it home. Carry on, I guess.
Besides the golf, we have spent a few evenings in local pubs, each of which has some local traditional music, literally dozens of venues to find the music. Not quite the quality we are used to seeing, but they make up for it in enthusiasm and authenticity.
I will send you a few pictures when I get home next. Please give our best wishes to Mr and Mrs Suginome and to Miki. Since you aren't taking your computer you probably won't get this until you get home, but just in case ...
Talk to you when I get home.
Dad
